Phrasely is a personal vocabulary service. Its source code is available in the andreistefanciprian/phrasely repository. This policy explains what information Phrasely processes, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

Information Phrasely collects

How information is used

Phrasely uses this information to authenticate you, store and display your private vocabulary collection, curate phrases, provide search and review features, send emails you request, maintain security, and diagnose service problems.

AI processing

When you use AI-powered curation or semantic features, relevant phrase content may be sent to OpenAI to generate curated text or numerical embeddings. Phrasely sends only the content needed for the requested feature.

If you connect Phrasely to ChatGPT or another MCP client, the client may receive the phrase information returned by the tools you choose to use. Phrasely does not receive your full chat history; it receives only the tool inputs the client sends.

Service providers and sharing

Phrasely does not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Information is shared only as needed to provide the service, including with:

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, or others.

Cookies and authentication

Phrasely uses an essential, secure authentication cookie to keep you signed in. OAuth tokens are used when you connect Phrasely to a compatible client. These technologies are required for account and integration functionality and are not used for advertising.

Data retention and deletion

Your account information, saved phrases, and preferences are retained while your account remains active. Individual phrases can be deleted within Phrasely. You may request deletion of your account and associated data using the contact method below. Limited operational logs and backups may remain temporarily according to service-provider retention and recovery practices.

Security

Phrasely uses measures such as passwordless sign-in, encrypted HTTPS connections, private service networking, user-scoped database queries, and OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can review and delete saved phrases, change email-digest preferences, disconnect an OAuth integration, or request access to or deletion of your account information.

Children

Phrasely is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Phrasely changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
